HOT WHEELS - Street Fighter Blanka (DLC)

Hot Wheels Unleashed already leans hard into the "anything goes" energy of the toy brand, so dropping a Street Fighter character into the garage is not as strange as it sounds. This DLC adds a Blanka-themed car to your roster, styled around the green, electricity-hurling Brazilian brawler from Capcom's fighting series. It is cosmetic content at its core. You are not getting new tracks, new game modes, or altered physics. What you get is a single vehicle with Blanka's visual identity baked into it. On the car itself, the design work is fun. The paintwork captures Blanka's wild colour palette, and if you are a Street Fighter fan who also spends time in Hot Wheels Unleashed, the novelty factor lands well enough. Hot Wheels Unleashed has solid arcade racing under the hood, tight handling, good split-screen support for couch sessions, and a decent enough track editor to keep things fresh. This DLC rides on all of that existing goodness without adding to it mechanically. For couch co-op purposes, yes, split-screen PvP is still fully supported when this car is in the mix, which means you can absolutely hand a controller to a friend, pick the Blanka car, and have a laugh about it. That is honestly half the appeal of crossover DLC like this. Whether it gets a reaction from your mates at a Saturday session depends entirely on how many of them grew up with Street Fighter. For younger or more casual players who have no Street Fighter context, it is just a green car with a funny face. The honest critique here is that single-vehicle DLC packs are a thin value proposition on their own. There is no campaign content, no special challenge tied to the Blanka theme, and no gameplay difference versus any other car at the same stat tier. It is a collector item or a fan service purchase, full stop. If you are building out your Hot Wheels Unleashed garage and you want every weird crossover piece in it, this fits that goal. If you are hoping this changes your racing experience in any meaningful way, it does not. Bottom line for group play: Hot Wheels Unleashed itself is a genuinely good pick for casual multiplayer sessions, and this DLC does nothing to break that.
