If you have been racing with the same handful of favourites since launch, the novelty of new body shapes and stat spreads is a genuine refresh, especially in split-screen sessions where everyone wants to call dibs on a different car. There is no learning curve attached to DLC vehicles, which is exactly how it should be. You pick up a new car, it handles in the Hot Wheels Unleashed way, and you are racing within thirty seconds. Bottom line: this is for the crowd that is still actively playing Hot Wheels Unleashed and wants the roster topped up. If the base game has been gathering dust, Vol. 2 alone will not revive your interest.
