Seven of Hitman 2's best sandbox assassination maps, unlocked inside Hitman 3's engine. Essential context for the trilogy, but read the fine print before you buy.

I'll be straight with you: this is not a game. It's a content key, and how much value it holds for you depends entirely on where you sit in IO Interactive's World of Assassination ecosystem. What you're getting here is access to Hitman 2's base campaign locations, playable from inside Hitman 3, with Hitman 3's improved engine running underneath everything. If you already own Hitman 3 and you've been eyeing that gap in your mission list, this is the pass that fills it. The maps unlocked here are genuinely some of the strongest in the entire trilogy. Hawke's Bay, Miami, Santa Fortuna, Mumbai, Whittleton Creek, Isle of Sgail, and the Himmelstein sniper map round out the roster. Mumbai in particular is widely cited as a high point across the whole series, a sprawling, dense target-hunt that rewards patience and lateral thinking. Miami is loud and chaotic in a way that contrasts perfectly with the quieter suburban dread of Whittleton Creek. IO built these locations without the episodic cadence of the first game, and that consistency shows. Reviewers at the time singled out the maps as being uniformly strong rather than having the quality peaks and valleys of Hitman 2016. The Hitman 3 engine brings real benefits to this older content. The mastery progression system applies across all imported locations, so as you replay missions you unlock new starting points, agency pickups, and items that fundamentally change how you approach each target. Escalations and Contracts mode extend replay well beyond the story missions. The picture-in-picture notification system, which flags when NPCs discover bodies or react to suspicious activity, is active throughout. It's a small thing that changes how tense stealth management feels in real time. The one honest warning worth flagging: this pass covers the Standard content only. The New York bank and Haven Island resort, which were post-launch paid maps for Hitman 2, are not included here. Those require the Expansion Access Pass separately. If you want all of Hitman 2's locations in one go, look at the Gold Access Pass instead. And if you already own Hitman 2 on the same platform as Hitman 3, check whether IO's free transfer option applies before spending anything at all. The access pass structure across this trilogy has always been confusing, and it remains so. For players building out the full World of Assassination run, though, skipping this content would leave a meaningful hole. The narrative threads that Hitman 3 resolves make considerably more sense with Hitman 2's missions as context, and practically speaking, Mumbai and the Isle of Sgail are too good to miss. Just know exactly what you're buying before you commit. Alex, Scout Team
