About GTA IV Complete Edition Rockstar Games Launcher key
Getting both episodes in one launcher key is the strongest argument here. The Complete Edition folds The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony into the base game, and those aren't cosmetic throwaways. They're full standalone campaigns with their own protagonists, their own weapons (the sticky bombs and grenade launcher in Ballad, the pipe bomb and sawn-off in Lost and Damned), and their own missions that weave through Niko's story from the other side of the city. If you only ever played the vanilla 2008 release, that is the reason to pick this up. The catch is what got taken out. This version dropped the licensed radio tracks and the multiplayer, so the Liberty City you drive through sounds thinner than the one people remember, and there is no free roam lobby to mess about in. There is no soundtrack download or wallpaper filler padding the package, which I respect, but it also means the extras are purely the two episodes. Buy the standard edition only if you already own both DLCs elsewhere. Everyone else should just take the bundle.
