About Goblins on Alien Planet
I went in expecting a straightforward arcade romp, and Goblins on Alien Planet mostly delivers that, you're herding or fighting goblins across alien terrain with a colorful, low-poly aesthetic that feels intentionally retro. The core loop is simple enough: move, bash, dodge, progress. It's the kind of game that doesn't overstay its welcome and knows exactly what it is. The rough edges are obvious. This is a 2018 indie title with a skeleton crew behind it, and it shows in the polish. Collision detection can be wonky, the camera occasionally fights you, and there's not much meat on the bones mechanically. But if you're after 30 minutes of goofy goblin-wrangling without pretense, it scratches that itch. Not every game needs to be a 100-hour epic.
