Generation Zero: FNIX Rising
A co-op shooter expansion that doubles down on base-game mechanics but stumbles on repetition and live-service friction.
GamerScout Verdict
Skip unless you've exhausted the base game and crave more of the same grind with minimal narrative payoff.
Compare Prices(3 stores)
Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About Generation Zero: FNIX Rising
I spent a few hours with FNIX Rising expecting the Generation Zero formula to click better in a dedicated expansion. It doesn't. You're still hunting robot machines across Swedish ruins with friends, looting for weapon upgrades, and retreating when the heat gets too high. The new FNIX machines are tougher, the Southern Coast map has more verticality than the base game's island, and co-op firefights can be tense when you've got coordinated squad cover. But the mission structure stays thin, enemy AI remains predictable, and the grind for viable loot outpaces the fun of actually using it. If the base game's 50-50 review score didn't warn you off, this expansion won't change your mind either.
