GamerScout Verdict
A novelty finger-flicker that's fun for 20 minutes if you like absurdist god simulator premises.

About Fury Of The Gods
I spent about an hour with Fury of the Gods, and it does exactly what it promises: you're a vengeful god poking peasants off the screen with your godly finger. It's a casual action game stripped down to its core mechanic, point, tap, watch stuff explode. The charm is in the simplicity and the absurdity of the premise. There's no story bloat, no tutorials outstaying their welcome, just you and an army of heathens begging to be smitten. The catch is that "simple" also means "limited." After 20 minutes, you've seen most of what the game has to offer. The finger-flicking combat doesn't evolve much, there's no progression system to chase, and the difficulty ramp is barely noticeable. It's a mobile-game-on-PC situation, and that's fine if you're looking for a palate cleanser between bigger titles. But if you want mechanical depth, replayability, or reason to boot it up twice, you'll be disappointed. It's a gimmick game that owns its gimmick without apology.
