Diablo 3: Eternal Collection
Diablo 3 on console is a surprisingly solid port that trades the mouse-and-keyboard precision of the PC version for a controller-friendly loot grind that actually works.
GamerScout Verdict
Best for couch co-op fans and console-first players who want classic Diablo accessibility over cutting-edge balance.

About Diablo 3: Eternal Collection
I've logged time in Diablo 3 across multiple platforms, and the Eternal Collection on Xbox holds up better than you'd expect. The transition to controller inputs works because the game was designed for it from the ground up on this platform. You get the base game plus Reaper of Souls and all seasonal content, so there's plenty of campaign and endgame grinding to justify the entry point if you missed the original PC craze. What works: the action feels snappy, inventory management is cleaner than the desktop version, and couch co-op is a real draw if you've got a co-player. What doesn't: if you're coming from the live service PC experience, console lags behind on balance patches and seasonal events. The story campaign is forgettable, and after you've cleared it a few times, you're basically farming rifts and hoping for loot rolls. It's comfort food for Diablo fans, not a revelation.
