This is a small paid add-on for Death's Gambit and it will not launch or do anything without the base game installed first. Ashes of Vados bolts on extra content around the existing campaign: expect new gear and cosmetic sets, and by the DLC's own billing, additional boss encounters and lore-flavored trinkets rather than a new story arc. The exact item list isn't detailed here, so check the store page before buying if a specific weapon or skin is the reason you're clicking add to cart. It's for players who already finished the main game, liked its Souls-inspired combat and class-swapping builds, and want a reason to jump back in for a few extra fights and some fresh loot.
