GamerScout Verdict
Play for the jokes, not the gameplay, fun in short bursts if the price is right.

About DeadPool
I went in hoping for a game that matched the anarchic energy of the character. What I got was a serviceable third-person shooter with melee combat that leans hard on one-liners and fourth-wall breaks. The healing factor and weapon variety keep combat from feeling stale, and fans of Deadpool's motor-mouth schtick will find plenty of jokes landing. But the level design is linear and forgettable, the difficulty spikes frustratingly, and the overall presentation feels dated even for 2013. Deadpool works best in short bursts, grab it when it's cheap, enjoy the character voice work, and move on. It's not a bad game, just a middling one that had the bones for something sharper. Worth a weekend if the humor hooks you; skip it if you're after deep mechanics or memorable set pieces.
