Dark Lore Mysteries: The Hunt For Truth
A point-and-click murder mystery where you're hunting for clues in a small town with dark secrets, but the investigation feels rote and the story never quite clicks.
GamerScout Verdict
For adventure-game diehards only; the mystery premise doesn't land convincingly enough to justify its brief runtime.

About Dark Lore Mysteries: The Hunt For Truth
Dark Lore Mysteries drops you into a locked-room mystery: a murder in a quiet town that people thought had buried its past. You click around environments, talk to suspicious locals, and collect clues to solve whodunit. It's a classic adventure-game setup, and if you're starved for no-frills mystery puzzles, there's enough here to scratch that itch for a few hours. The problem is the execution feels thin. The story doesn't build tension convincingly, dialogue is functional rather than engaging, and the investigation lacks the logical snap that makes mystery games click. You'll find yourself randomly clicking objects and talking to the same NPCs hoping something sticks rather than actually reasoning through evidence. If you want a proper narrative mystery, Broken Sword or even old Sherlock Holmes point-and-clicks did this job better. This works as filler if you're extremely into the genre and have run out of better options.
