Compare Crazy Taxi prices across trusted key stores and find the best deal. Developed by SEGA. Published by Sega. Released on 3/4/2011. Available on PC. Genres: Action, Racing.

The arcade classic where you fling passengers around a cartoon city at breakneck speed, chasing high scores instead of realism.

I went in expecting a sim. Crazy Taxi is not a sim. It's pure arcade energy: grab fares, drive recklessly, dump them at their destination, repeat. The 2011 PC port keeps the original's cel-shaded style and that infectious energy, even if the visuals feel dated now. Gameplay is straightforward and goofy - you're rewarded for speed and shortcuts, penalized for crashing, and the timer always feels like it's running out. This works if you want 15-minute bursts of nostalgic fun. It doesn't work if you expect depth, online modes, or modern steering mechanics. The novelty wears fast on solo play, and there's not much here beyond "beat your own score." It's a port of a port, and it shows. Good for arcade purists or anyone who remembers the dreamcast version fondly. Alex, Scout Team

GamerScout Verdict

Fun for arcade fans seeking 15-minute bursts, but expect shallow mechanics and dated visuals on a 2011 PC port.
