The first-hour friction in any Combat Mission title is the camera and the order interface, and this pack does nothing to soften it. Push through anyway, because you cannot load a single byte of it without Combat Mission Shock Force 2 installed first. This is an add-on module, not a standalone release. What it adds is the NATO order of battle for the Syria scenario: British, Canadian, Dutch and German formations with their own vehicles, infantry TO&E and doctrine, wrapped in dedicated campaigns and standalone battles built around each nationality. If you already own the base game and want more than the US Army and Marine Corps to command, the extra force rosters meaningfully change how you plan an assault. Players who only ever fought the American campaigns can skip it. Check the store listing for the exact battle and vehicle manifest before buying.
