Compare Clan of Champions prices across trusted key stores and find the best deal. Developed by ACQUIRE Corp.. Published by NIS America, Inc.. Released on 10/30/2012. Available on PC. Genres: Action. Metacritic score: 42/100.

A clunky 2012 arena brawler with one great idea (smash the loot off your opponent's body) trapped in a repetitive campaign and stiff, sluggish controls.

The first hour is rough enough that a lot of people bounce, and honestly that reaction is fair. The controls are stiff in a way that feels less like deliberate weight and more like input lag, the camera fights you in tight arena spaces, and the tutorial does a poor job explaining the one system that actually matters: you can target and destroy specific pieces of your enemy's gear, stripping their armor mid-fight until they are swinging at you in rags. Once that clicks, the combat opens up. Picking a class, choosing between blunt, slash, and pierce damage against a particular set of plate, and grinding for loot you then rip off someone else in a PvP duel is a genuinely good loop that almost nothing else does this literally. The problem is everything wrapped around it. The single-player campaign recycles the same handful of arenas and enemy layouts until the novelty is gone, and with a player base this thin, the online co-op and duels that carry the whole design are hard to fill. If you can round up friends and treat it as a short-session curiosity, there is real fun here. Going in solo expecting a full action RPG will not end well. Alex, Scout Team

GamerScout Verdict

Worth it only if you have friends to duel and patience for stiff controls; the gear-stripping hook is the whole reason to show up.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.

Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.

We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.
