Circle Empires: Apex Monsters!

Circle Empires: Apex Monsters! is a casual strategy game built around one-map tower defense loops. You're given a circular arena, a handful of starting units, and the task of recruiting new monsters and leaders across quick runs. The 2018 base game was already minimal; this expansion just adds 12 new monsters, 6 leaders, and 21 units to the existing pool. There's almost no narrative, no branching paths, just the core loop of placing units to defend against waves. It's the kind of game you load up while your show plays in the other window. The appeal is narrow: if you like roguelike tower defense with zero story friction and trading-card unlocks, it scratches that itch. If you're expecting depth or replayability momentum, you'll bounce off in two sessions. Works fine on its own terms, but it's definitely a niche within a niche.
