The cleanest thing about this upgrade is what it does not do: it does not make you rebuy Call to Arms to reach the Deluxe tier. That is the whole product. It is an inline DLC that flips existing standard-edition ownership over to Deluxe, and the data does not itemise one component beyond that: no unit pack, no campaign, no soundtrack. The 68 percent positive score across 133 reviews reads less like a judgement on content and more like buyers who could not tell what they were getting. If you already own the base game, still play its direct-control RTS loop, live in the Workshop and the level editor, and know which Deluxe extras you want, this is the route to them. Everyone else should start standard, put hours into skirmish and online co-op first, and come back only if it hooks you. Upgrading before you have decided you like the base game is how backlogs get built.
