Blackguards: Untold Legends
Seven quests of Takate's gladiator backstory, bolted onto Blackguards' brutal grid combat. Sharp writing, but it ends the moment it gets interesting.
GamerScout Verdict
For Blackguards veterans who wanted Takate's backstory. Newcomers will be lost and underwhelmed.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.

About Blackguards: Untold Legends
The store page sells this as a continuation of the main story, and that part is honest: you get seven quests tracing how Takate, the forest man, ended up chained in a gladiator pit and what he does about it. What it does not tell you is how compact that is. Takate was always the most interesting of the Blackguards crew, and giving him a revenge arc with actual motivation is the right call. The turn-based hex combat is unchanged from the base game, which means the same fiddly Dark Eye ruleset, the same fights that punish you for walking into a chokepoint, and the same satisfaction when a spell chain finally lands. Where it disappoints: this is expansion content wearing a standalone label, and it plays like it. There is no room for the build experimentation that makes Blackguards worth 40 hours, and if you have not played the original the character beats will not land at all. Encounter design also leans on the base game's worst habit, stacking enemies until attrition does the work instead of clever positioning. Worth it if Takate stuck with you. Skip it otherwise.
