Battlefleet Gothic: Armada - Tau Empire

I went in expecting Homeworld with grimdark paint, and Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2 mostly delivers that. You micromanage squadrons of capital ships and escorts in real-time combat, managing weapon arcs, armor facings, and morale like an actual naval tactician. The campaign lets you build fleets across multiple factions (Imperial Navy, Chaos, Orks, Eldar, Necrons), and each faction plays distinctly enough to warrant multiple playthroughs if you're patient with the pacing. The hard part: the UI feels like navigating a 90s spreadsheet, tutorials are sparse, and the online community is basically a ghost town five years post-launch. Single-player campaigns are your actual meat here. If you're the type who reads Warhammer lore wikis and enjoys asymmetrical faction mechanics over instant gratification, you'll find 40-50 hours of worthwhile strategy. Everyone else should wait for a sale or skip entirely.
