About Baikonur Space
I fired up Baikonur expecting spreadsheet tedium, and instead found a cozy management game with genuine character. You're running the Baikonur Cosmodrome during the Cold War, hiring cosmonauts, upgrading rockets, and watching your space ambitions climb. The clicking loop is simple and meditative, upgrade facilities, launch missions, watch progress tick forward. Nothing fancy, but it works as background gaming. What stuck with me was the writing. The cosmonauts have personality, the mission briefings have humor, and there's real affection for the source material buried under the incremental gameplay. It won't demand your full attention or last hundreds of hours, but if you want something to poke at while watching shows, Baikonur delivers a surprisingly thoughtful little experience about humanity's first steps into space.
