The first hour of Glitchwalkers drops you into a hostile, glitched-out landscape with very little hand-holding, and yes, it is worth pushing past that, but only if you already own Astroneer, since this is an add-on that will not launch on its own. It layers a new story campaign, fresh terrain hazards and crafting items onto the base game, playable solo or in online co-op, with full controller support and its own achievements. The store listing carries the exact item manifest. Mixed reviews suggest plenty of people bounced off the difficulty spike. For completionists who want more Astroneer to chew on it earns its place. Anyone content with the sandbox can skip it.
