Three of GT3's most exciting 2023-spec machines plus a brand-new Spanish circuit land in the best dedicated GT3 sim on PC. Committed ACC regulars will get real mileage here.

I'll be honest: when a sim DLC drops three new cars and one track, the first thing I check is whether those cars are actually different to drive or just reskins with swapped liveries. The 2023 GT World Challenge Pack clears that bar, although not always by the widest margin. The Ferrari 296 GT3 is the headline draw. It swaps the old 488's V8 for a twin-turbo V6, which means the soundtrack changes significantly and so does the power delivery character. High-speed corners are where it shines, and the front end communicates well through a wheel, though aggressive throttle application on corner exit needs patience. The Porsche 911 (992) GT3 R brings the updated flat-six, paddle-shift gearbox, and RSR-derived suspension, aimed squarely at improving drivability across the Balance of Performance spread. In practice it feels planted and consistent, the sort of car that rewards clean laps rather than heroics. Then there is the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2, which is the character piece of the three. That naturally aspirated V10 still sounds outrageous, and the EVO2 introduces adjustable engine brake maps via the standard ECU selector, giving it a setup dimension the other two lack. It asks more of you, but when it clicks it is enormously satisfying. Circuit Ricardo Tormo - Valencia is a 4.0 km Spanish track built originally for motorcycle racing, and that heritage shows. The layout is technical and tight, with limited overtaking opportunities and one main braking zone at the end of the main straight into Turn 1. For wheel-to-wheel online racing it can feel processional if the grid is evenly matched, and community reception to the circuit has been notably cooler than the cars themselves. For hotlapping and time trial practice, though, the track's series of linked medium-speed corners demands real rhythm and is actually excellent for learning brake-trail technique. Kunos built it with the same laser-scan precision as the rest of the ACC track roster, and that shows in how believably surface bumps load and unload the tyres. Context matters here. This DLC landed alongside the v1.9 physics update, which reworked tyre and suspension modelling across the whole game and closed off some unrealistic setup exploits. That means the three new cars were built to a higher baseline standard than earlier ACC content, and even players who do not buy this pack felt the update. If you are coming to this DLC fresh, you are getting the most refined version of ACC's physics under all three cars from day one. Hardware-wise, a racing wheel is the right tool for any of these GT3 machines - a gamepad will work with assists, but the Ferrari's turn-in feel and the Lamborghini's rear rotation are things you want to actually feel through force feedback. VR and triple-screen setups are fully supported by the base game, so the DLC content carries through to both. The honest limitation: if you race online exclusively and your league or public lobby pool does not run the 2023 cars regularly, this pack's value depends heavily on how invested your community is. The cars slot into the Open Series mode for custom championships offline, which is a reasonable fallback, and the AI difficulty was adjusted as part of v1.9. Casual or solo players who want to drive a new Ferrari around Valencia on a Tuesday evening will find plenty to enjoy. Anyone looking for a casual couch session should know ACC has always been a single-player or online sim - there is no split-screen, and it is firmly PC-only on this platform. Riley, Scout Team
