Anno 2205
A city-builder that splits your attention between Earth and the Moon, but struggles to make either half feel essential.
GamerScout Verdict
For city-builder fans who want more Anno, but the space gimmick doesn't justify leaving Earth behind.

About Anno 2205
I went into Anno 2205 expecting the usual loop: zone residential, optimize traffic, watch your empire grow. What I got was half a game. You build on Earth first, then unlock the Moon as a late-game colony, but the Moon feels more like a checklist than a meaningful second frontier. The real-time simulation works fine, production chains click along, logistics puzzles are satisfying to solve, but the split focus dilutes the sense of progress. Neither location gets enough depth to anchor you, and the leap to space doesn't feel earned so much as imposed. It's competent city management for players who've exhausted the previous Anno titles and want more of the same bones with a sci-fi coat of paint. If you're new to the series, the earlier games offer tighter design. If you're a series veteran, you'll squeeze a campaign or two out of this before the repetition sets in.
