About Anime Jigsaw Girls - Christmas
I'll be straight with you: this is not a game that asks anything ambitious of itself, and that transparency is the only useful starting point for a review. Anime Jigsaw Girls - Christmas is a very small puzzle release from EGC Games, part of a two-title franchise alongside the companion Office entry, and it does exactly one thing - it lets you assemble Christmas-themed anime illustrations to a looping seasonal soundtrack. Nothing about that pitch is hidden, and nothing about the execution exceeds it. The core loop is the familiar drag-and-drop jigsaw format. Pieces scatter across the screen, you sort and place them, a completed image unlocks into a gallery so you can revisit it later. There are leaderboards and a small achievements list baked in, which gives the session a faint structure beyond pure completion. The artwork leans into the expected holiday visual language - warm reds and golds, festive backdrops, anime character designs that sit squarely in the fan-service register. If that aesthetic is your thing, the illustrations do their job without apology. The background music is genuinely unobtrusive in the best sense: light seasonal ambient tracks that keep the atmosphere consistent without competing for attention. Where the cracks show is in the thinness of the overall package. The Steam community has landed this at a mixed rating, hovering around 68 percent positive across a very small sample, and that score feels honest. There is no puzzle piece rotation, no adjustable difficulty system to speak of, no snap-sensitivity controls - features that have become standard even in budget jigsaw releases. Compared to something like Super Jigsaw Puzzle: Anime Reloaded, which offers configurable snap, piece rotation, and up to 800-piece counts, or even free-tier competitors with multiple difficulty settings, this release feels structurally sparse. The gallery is a nice touch, and the leaderboard at least provides a reason to replay individual puzzles with time pressure in mind, but these are thin hooks. The honest audience for this one is narrow: someone who specifically wants Christmas-flavored anime art in jigsaw form, has ten to fifteen minutes to fill, and isn't bothered by the absence of puzzle-design depth. For that person, this is perfectly adequate and priced to match its ambitions. For anyone coming from a dedicated puzzle game background expecting rotation controls, save states, or meaningful piece counts, the limitations will surface fast and the session will feel abbreviated. I wouldn't call this a hidden gem or an underdog worth championing - it's a functional, theme-specific novelty that knows its lane. Spend time with it seasonally, close it, move on. Kai, Scout Team
