About Alpha Zylon
Alpha Zylon is an ambitious swing at mixing 2D and 3D action in a single package. You switch between top-down shooting and isometric combat, fighting waves of enemies across both perspectives. The core idea has promise: vary the angle, vary the tactics. In practice, the execution feels rough. Controls are clunky, hit detection is inconsistent, and the visual presentation hasn't aged gracefully. There's a scrappy charm to it, the kind of game that feels like it was made by people who loved the concept more than they had the budget to polish it. If you're hunting for obscure action experiments or have nostalgia for early-2010s indie ambition, Alpha Zylon's perspective gimmick might scratch that itch for a couple hours. Everyone else should look elsewhere. The game doesn't do enough with its dual-perspective hook to overcome its technical shortcomings.
