Halfway through carving out my third brewery level, I realised my dwarves were happier drinking than digging, and that is exactly the itch this pack scratches. The Ale Pack is an add-on, not a standalone product: you need "A Game of Dwarves Key" installed and activated first, otherwise this unlocks nothing at all. It is a small themed content drop for the base dungeon-builder, released alongside the game in 2012 under Paradox, and the store listing carries the exact item manifest. I would rather be honest about the category than pad this out with invented specifics. Packs at this tier add flavour content, not systems: no new campaign layer, no AI rework, no fresh build order to learn. That makes it a completionist purchase, or one for players already deep enough into their dwarf colony that a bit of extra thematic set dressing genuinely improves the screenshot. Everyone else, including anyone still deciding whether the base game clicks for them, can pass without missing a mechanic.
