Zombies ate my dog

I went in expecting pure gimmick, but Zombies Ate My Dog leans into its premise with genuine charm. It's a casual tower-defense-adjacent game where you're basically the last line of defense between your pup and hordes of the undead. The mechanics are straightforward: place defenses, manage resources, survive waves. There's no pretense here, it's comfort food game design, the kind you boot up for 20 minutes between other stuff. What keeps it from feeling like a throw-away mobile port is the absurdist tone. The zombies are ridiculous, the upgrades are funny, and the whole thing knows exactly what it is. It won't challenge you or burn hours of your life, but if you want a chill indie game that doesn't demand constant attention, this scratches that itch. Nothing groundbreaking, but nothing broken either.
