Diablo taught us to click monsters until loot fell out. ZENONIA taught a generation to do it in portrait mode, on a bus, on a phone with a battery that gave up before the dungeon did. The difference that matters here: this is a restoration, not a remake. The pixel art is the original pixel art, the pacing is the original pacing, and the grind that ate your commute has not been sanded down for modern patience. That is the whole pitch, and whether it lands depends on you. Controller support is the one real concession, and it makes the action legible in a way tapping glass never did. Newcomers with no memory attached to it will find a small, sincere 2D action RPG that repeats itself more than it surprises. Anyone who was there will find the exact texture of a night they remember. It knows what it is and it does not overstay. That counts.
