Worms Battlegrounds
A turn-based strategy shooter that trades the Worms series' silly charm for a slower, more deliberate tactical experience, solid if you want methodical explosions over arcade chaos.
GamerScout Verdict
Best for couch co-op tacticians who want turn-based explosions; skip if you need online matchmaking or arcade speed.

About Worms Battlegrounds
Worms Battlegrounds is a turn-based tactical game where you command a squad of worms across small destructible arenas, using a familiar arsenal of guns, grenades, and absurd weaponry to outmaneuver opponents. It's slower and more chess-like than the arcade-style Worms games you might know, which works if you're patient but can feel plodding if you came for quick reflexes. The core loop of positioning, aiming, and watching physics play out is satisfying enough, and the destructible terrain still matters tactically. The problem: it's Xbox-only with a small playerbase, so online matches can be hard to find. The single-player campaign exists but isn't a reason to boot it up alone. If you have local co-op partners and a few hours to kill, it's decent turn-based fun. Otherwise, the mainline Worms games on other platforms are the better pick.
