World of Warcraft Enchanted Fey Dragon Mount (DLC)

My honest take on shop mount DLC is simple: the mount has to earn its asking price on looks and animation quality alone, because it does absolutely nothing else. The Enchanted Fey Dragon clears that bar with room to spare. It runs a continuous colour cycle, shifting between red, blue, and gold on a set pattern roughly every fifteen seconds, and the iridescent scale work holds up well even at max camera distance. The animation team clearly spent real time on this model, and player commentary across WoWDB and community forums has consistently praised the vibrancy of the colours and the quality of the flying animation since the mount first appeared in the Battle.net Shop back in 2013. On the functional side, there is not much to evaluate. Once redeemed, the mount unlocks account-wide, so every current and future character you create on that Battle.net account gets access automatically. It scales to whatever riding skill a given character has, meaning it works as both a ground mount at Apprentice level and a full flying mount once Expert Riding is trained. There are no special abilities, no combat perks, no storyline attached. You are buying a visual, full stop. The colour shift is on a fixed timer rather than random, which makes it slightly more predictable than some players expect, but it also means the cycle is smooth and consistent rather than jarring. Where the value calculation gets tricky is the context: this DLC requires an active World of Warcraft subscription to see any use at all, and it is not available in World of Warcraft Classic. If you are a lapsed player shopping around without an active sub, factor that cost in before committing. For a collector who logs in regularly across multiple characters, an account-wide mount that stands out visually during group content, city hubs, or flight paths is a reasonable cosmetic pickup. For a casual or returning player, the niche is narrower. If you care about mount collecting in WoW or simply want something that turns heads in Orgrimmar or Stormwind, this delivers on its one promise consistently.
