For readers fascinated by finance who'll sit through dense exposition to understand a trader's mindset during economic chaos.

About WORLD END ECONOMiCA episode.01
I went in expecting anime dialogue trees. What I got was a surprisingly earnest story about day traders riding the 2008 financial crisis, told through walls of economic jargon and market mechanics. If you're the type who reads earnings reports for fun, this scratches an itch almost nothing else does. The writing is dense and deliberately slow, which means you'll either find it meditative or tedious depending on your tolerance for exposition. It's very much a 2014 visual novel, static backgrounds, limited animation, tons of reading. The appeal hinges entirely on whether you care about the protagonist's relationship to money and risk. There's no combat or puzzles to break up the text, so this is pure narrative-driven experience. Not for everyone, but exactly what it promises to be.
