Sixty-second runs, one screen, no mercy. A pure arcade score-chaser that punishes greed and rewards muscle memory, and it knows exactly how small it wants to be.

The best thing about Woah Dave! is its honesty. One screen, two buttons, no tutorial, no unlock treadmill, no story pretending to justify the scoring. Enemies pour out of the floor, you pick up skulls and lob them, coins drop, and eventually the lava rises and something explodes in your face. Every run is over in a minute or two, and every death is legibly yours: you reached for the extra pickup instead of clearing the screen. MiniVisions built the whole thing around that one tension, and the chiptune score is doing quiet work underneath it, ratcheting the pulse without ever announcing itself. What it will not do is grow. There is no depth to unearth past hour three, and if leaderboard chasing or couch competition with a friend on the same screen does not motivate you, the loop simply stops giving. The visual language is deliberately crude, which some people read as cheap rather than intentional. But it ends when it should end, it costs you nothing to restart, and it plays beautifully on a controller with someone heckling you from the couch. Small, sharp, finished. Kai, Scout Team

GamerScout Verdict

Worth it if you chase leaderboards or want a two-minute couch competition, not if you need progression.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.

Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.

We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.
