Weather Lord: Hidden Realm
A 2017 indie where you weaponize weather to cleanse an island, but the sim depth doesn't match its promise of natural-force strategy.

About Weather Lord: Hidden Realm
I approached Weather Lord expecting a system-driven puzzle game where wind, rain, and lightning interact with terrain and enemies in meaningful ways. Instead, it's a casual tower-defense-adjacent title where you cast weather effects at scripted problem-spots. The spell rotation is shallow, the map layouts are linear, and there's no real build economy to optimize. The core loop works fine for a 90-minute session, but the strategic decisions dry up fast. The 2017 build feels its age. No mod tools, no difficulty scaling worth mentioning, and the UI doesn't guide you toward interesting plays. It's playable, harmless, and utterly forgettable. Skip this unless you're a completionist hunting sub-5 indie tags. Diego, Scout Team
