About Volume
Volume strips stealth down to its core: sight lines, sound, and positioning. You're infiltrating corporate buildings floor by floor, avoiding guards whose vision cones and hearing ranges you can predict and exploit. It's turn-based enough to feel like tactical planning, real-time enough to keep your heartbeat up when you slip past a patrol. The level design is clever, rooms are tight, guard patterns repeatable, solutions often feel like earned puzzles rather than scripted sequences. What holds it back is repetition. The premise doesn't evolve much across 100+ levels, and the story wrapping (heist narrative, political intrigue) never justifies the grind. If you love Incendiary or Into the Breach's cerebral approach to avoiding or eliminating threats, Volume's methodical pacing will click. Everyone else will likely bounce after the novelty wears thin.
