Perfect for an evening when you want action without commitment, though it won't linger in your memory.

About VINE
I went in expecting nothing from VINE because it has zero Steam presence and zero critical coverage. What I found was a compact action-adventure that knows exactly what it is: a short, scrappy indie title that gets in, does its thing, and gets out. Movement and combat feel snappy enough to carry you through a few hours of exploration without bloat. The real problem is that everything else is hollow. Story is barely there, environments are functional but forgettable, and there's nothing mechanically inventive enough to make up for the thin narrative core. VINE works fine as a palette cleanser between bigger games, especially if you're tired of 60-hour epics that pad their runtime. But don't expect character arcs, world-building, or moments that make you think about it days later. It's a game that exists, does its job, and asks nothing of you beyond that.
