Undead Under Night Rain
A niche tower-defense hybrid where guitarist positioning and soldier ability combos matter more than reflexes, obscure but surprisingly thoughtful if you like asymmetric unit roles.
GamerScout Verdict
For strategy players who like building synergies in cramped spaces and don't mind learning without tutorials.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About Undead Under Night Rain
I went in expecting another tower-defense reskin and found something weirder: a game that treats unit placement and ability timing like a tactical puzzle. You position a guitarist to lure zombies into kill zones, then coordinate soldiers with distinct abilities and upgrade trees to manage the horde. It's small-scale and rough around the edges, but the core loop of planning soldier synergies and adapting to zombie spawn patterns has some teeth. The learning curve is steep and the interface doesn't hold your hand, so you're reverse-engineering the meta yourself. Undead Under Night Rain isn't going to replace your 200-hour grand-strategy fix, but if you want a low-commitment tactical sandbox where builds actually differ, it scratches that itch. Expect jank, expect few players online to learn from, expect to miss the depth at first. If you're stubborn enough to dig through a game's mechanics without a tutorial, you'll find a game that respects that effort.
