Ukko & Guará: Stellarbound

I approach most puzzle games looking for mechanical depth, but Ukko & Guará sidesteps that entirely in favor of something rarer: genuine collaborative problem-solving without friction. You and a partner control two characters with fundamentally different environmental toolsets, one shaped by snow, the other by heat and savanna conditions, and the puzzles demand you actually talk through solutions rather than brute-force them. The pacing is deliberate, almost meditative, which either hooks you or doesn't depending on whether you crave efficiency or atmosphere. The catch: this is a small indie title with no marketing weight, so player base is minimal and post-launch support appears dormant. Cross-platform controller support is solid, which matters for couch co-op, but there's no matchmaking for remote play. If you've got one friend and a weekend free, it's a worthwhile 3-4 hour investment. If you're hunting for a sprawling strategy experience, keep looking.
