UFC 4 (Xbox One)
UFC 4 nails the feeling of a real fight with its overhauled motion capture, but expect a grind if you're not ready to spend or commit to the career mode.
GamerScout Verdict
The best UFC simulation EA has built, but the progression grind and steep online learning curve limit its appeal to hardcore fight fans.

About UFC 4 (Xbox One)
I spent about 40 hours in UFC 4's career mode, and it's clear EA rebuilt the fundamentals here. Real Player Motion Technology makes strikes, clinches, and takedowns feel weighty and responsive in a way the previous games didn't quite nail. Stand-up exchanges flow naturally, and the ground game actually rewards patience instead of button-mashing. That said, the progression system is punishing for casual players. Career mode throws you into limited fights with gear that barely matters until you grind your stats. Online ranked is where the skill really matters, but the skill floor is steep. If you're a fighting game vet or MMA enthusiast, this is the best UFC sim EA's made. If you're just looking to crack heads with friends locally, you'll find that too, though the deep mechanics might sit unused.
