Two Point Hospital: Close Encounters
A UFO-themed hospital management DLC that struggles to justify its existence alongside the base game's superior level design.
GamerScout Verdict
Completionists only, a themed campaign pack that recycles the base game's puzzles without adding mechanical innovation.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.

About Two Point Hospital: Close Encounters
I've spent enough time optimizing hospital layouts to recognize when a DLC pack doesn't pull its weight. Close Encounters drops you into Goldpan, a themed facility obsessed with alien patients and sci-fi decor, but the core problem is immediately obvious: the campaign structure feels like filler rather than evolution. The base game's level design already nails the progression curve, each hospital teaches you something new about staff management, disease chains, and spatial efficiency. This expansion repeats those lessons without adding meaningful mechanical depth. You'll build the same staff hierarchies, manage identical disease types (just renamed for theme), and solve spacing puzzles you've already solved. Where it stumbles hardest is pacing. The UFO gimmick looks charming for two or three levels, then becomes window-dressing. If you've exhausted the base game's 15+ campaigns and crave more Two Point Hospital, this scratches that itch for maybe 5-8 hours. But newcomers should start with the base game and skip this entirely, it doesn't teach you anything the original won't, and its 45% Steam rating reflects a community that feels the same way.
