Turok 2: Seeds of Evil
A 1998 dinosaur-hunting shooter resurrected by Nightdive, where you'll blast through time-warped jungles with weapons that feel clunky by modern standards but carry genuine 90s charm.
GamerScout Verdict
Worth a look if you played the original or crave unfiltered late-90s action; everyone else has better options.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About Turok 2: Seeds of Evil
I went in expecting a straightforward port of the original Turok 2, and that's mostly what I got. The remaster handles the core loop decently: run through prehistoric levels, find the next weapon upgrade (cerebral bore, anyone?), and obliterate dinosaurs and interdimensional cultists with weapons that trade precision for raw spectacle. It's a corridor shooter wrapped in exploration flavor, split-screen co-op intact, and the level design still surprises with secrets and verticality. But 2017's re-release doesn't hide the age. Aiming feels loose, the camera defaults to awkward, and enemy AI is more "waddle toward you" than intelligent. If you're hunting nostalgia or want to understand where late-90s action games went weird, the remaster is playable. Anyone else should probably skip it. The bones are there, but this dinosaur needed more polish than Nightdive provided.
