A match-3 that dances to your own MP3s, as long as those MP3s have an obvious kick drum. Lovely idea, brittle beat detection, and a player base that never forgave it.

Audiosurf turned your music folder into a neon highway. Turba turns it into a match-3 board, and the difference that matters is timing: you aren't just clearing colored blocks, you're clearing them on the beat, and the beat is whatever the detection thinks it heard in your file. Feed it clean four-on-the-floor pop and the whole thing sings. Feed it post-rock, jazz, anything with a loose pulse or a long quiet intro, and the grid stops agreeing with your ears. That gap explains why the Steam crowd soured on it while critics were kinder. There's real craft in the reactive visuals, and scoring rewards short, greedy runs with leaderboards and achievements to chase. But a music game built on your library is only as good as its worst guess about that library, and Binary Takeover's 2010 detection guesses often. Worth an evening if your playlist is obvious. Frustrating if it isn't. Kai, Scout Team

GamerScout Verdict

Worth a night for rhythm-puzzle curiosities with a pop-heavy library; skip it if your playlist has no obvious downbeat.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.

Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.

We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.
