Train Valley 2 - Japanese Trails (DLC)

Best thing about it: the level design actually uses the Japanese theme instead of just repainting the trains. You need Train Valley 2 installed for any of it to load, so treat this as an expansion chapter rather than a standalone purchase. What you get is a themed set of hand-designed puzzle levels built around Japanese rail, with the usual Train Valley 2 loop of laying track, timing departures, and untangling junctions before the queue backs up. Steam's item list is the authority on the exact level count and any bonus locomotives, so check it there before buying. Who it's for: people who finished the main campaign, want more of the same tightening screw, and enjoy the specific pleasure of a route that looked impossible until you rebuilt the switch layout twice. If you bounced off the base game's later maps, this adds difficulty rather than variety, and you can skip it without missing anything structural. Workshop and the level editor already cover a lot of the appetite for extra content, so this is a completionist pickup more than a necessity.
