Tracks and Turrets is a compact strategy-action game that leans hard into the satisfying core loop of tower defense: place turrets, watch them fire, enjoy the mayhem. The roguelike deckbuilding angle means you're not just solving static puzzles, you're building synergies between units, experimenting with placements, and discovering combos that feel like you cracked the code. It's indie-scrappy in presentation, which is fine if you're here for the gameplay hook, not AAA polish. The downside is there's not much depth beyond that loop. If tower defense doesn't already click for you, this won't convert you. The learning curve is gentle, which is good for accessibility but means veteran players might burn through the content fast. Still, if you want a lean, no-bullshit strategy game that rewards spatial thinking and can be played in 30-minute bursts, this scratches that itch.
