TownCraft
A medieval crafting sandbox where the town-building fantasy gets buried under a recipe tree and endless inventory shuffling. Tinkerers only, and patient ones.
GamerScout Verdict
Worth it only if a deep recipe tree is the whole draw and clunky inventory management will not put you off.
Compare Prices(2 stores)
Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About TownCraft
The store page sells a bustling medieval settlement you grow from a bare plot of land. The crafting chains part of that is real, and it is deep: raw materials into tools into better tools into buildings, with dependency trees that genuinely reward planning two or three steps ahead. Where the pitch falls apart is the town. There is no meaningful population simulation, no economy responding to your choices, no AI worth studying. You are the only actor, and the loop is fetch, craft, repeat, with an inventory system that fights you every time you want to reorganise a chest. That 40 percent positive rating across roughly 105 reviews is not unfair. Judged as a low-pressure sandbox for people who like optimising a production order in their head, it has a niche and it serves it. Judged as the strategy game the genre tags imply, it lacks the decision density to hold a late game. No mod ecosystem to speak of, and the tutorial leaves you guessing at recipe discovery. Come for the crafting puzzle, not the town.
