At release in 2016, Chaos Warriors were locked behind a pre-order bonus wall, meaning players who bought the base game at launch had to pay separately for a faction that appears as a major antagonist in every campaign. The actual mechanics of the faction are solid. The campaign AI for Chaos is reasonably aggressive and functions well as a threat faction even when you are not controlling it.
