The final chapter pack for Three Kingdoms drops you into 200 CE with two powerhouse factions, a tense rivalry already at boiling point, and more systemic depth than any previous expansion in the series.
GamerScout Verdict
Best for Three Kingdoms owners who want the deepest, most decision-rich campaign start the series has offered in a single DLC.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.

About Total War: THREE KINGDOMS - Fates Divided
I have spent an embarrassing number of hours colour-coding faction relationships in Three Kingdoms spreadsheets, so when Fates Divided landed as the fifth and final chapter pack, I went in with high expectations and left with most of them met. The expansion sets you at 200 CE, right at the flashpoint between Cao Cao and Yuan Shao, two childhood friends whose ambitions have finally outgrown their bond. That decision to drop you mid-crisis rather than at a cold-start 190 CE is the smartest structural choice Creative Assembly made with this DLC. Both opening turns are dense with decisions, multiple armies positioned on several fronts, and a web of general loyalties that immediately demands your attention. On the campaign layer, Yuan Shao's standout new mechanic is the Captain Armory. You spend a resource called Lineage to buff and customise generic captain retinues, stacking abilities like Stalk and Unbreakable to build units that fill specific battlefield roles. It is a mid-tier build system that sits pleasantly between the broad faction bonuses of earlier packs and the granular hero management the base game already does well. Cao Cao's side, meanwhile, leans into the base game's espionage and political manipulation tools, which by patch 1.7.0 had been meaningfully refined. The diplomacy layer in Three Kingdoms has always been one of the best in the franchise, and Fates Divided's accompanying free update pushed it further, adding more subtle, underhand options for existing factions across the whole game. For anyone who bounced off earlier chapter packs, this one is worth revisiting. The 200 CE start is simultaneously a good entry point for players new to Three Kingdoms and a more complicated opening than any previous pack, because the guided mission structure bridges that gap well. You are handed someone else's save file just as things get interesting, which is exactly the right feeling for a chapter pack. The two playable modes, Romance and Records, remain intact. Romance still delivers the spectacle of hero duels mid-battle, generals dismounting to trade flashy strikes while the main engagement rolls on in the background. Records keeps things grounded, with generals functioning as skilled mortals rather than demigods. Both are worth a full campaign run. The criticism worth flagging is that Fates Divided's paid content is slightly overshadowed by the depth of the free update that shipped alongside it. If you already own the base game and kept up with earlier DLC, the value proposition is clear. If you are buying the full bundle fresh, know that the base game's endgame loop, keeping campaigns dynamic and interesting beyond the early land-grab phase, is genuinely one of Three Kingdoms' strongest achievements, and Fates Divided does not undermine that. The AI is competent enough to pressure you on Normal difficulty during the mid-game, and the mod ecosystem on Steam Workshop remains active, extending replay value well beyond the official content. The one hardware note worth making: load times on a spinning hard drive are punishing, so an SSD is a real quality-of-life upgrade here.
