The first hour of Shogun 2 buries you in clan bonuses, retainer slots and army upkeep math, and pushing through that is the only way this pack matters: it needs Total War: Shogun (Gold Edition) installed before anything shows up. What you get is a roster add-on, a handful of elite hero units bolted onto the existing clan recruitment pools, usable in campaign and in multiplayer battles. The data here does not spell out each unit, so check the store listing for the exact roster. Skip it unless you are a completionist or you want a couple of high-tier units to shortcut a stalled late-game siege. It changes nothing structural about the campaign.
