Toggle the gore filter on and every katana duel in a Shogun 2 field battle gets visible feedback: spraying blood, severed limbs, decapitations tied to your unit's kill animations. It needs Total War: Shogun (Gold Edition) installed to do anything at all. The pack is purely cosmetic, a violence layer for battles plus the associated visual settings, with no new units, campaigns or mechanics attached, so your rosters, clan bonuses and campaign AI behave exactly as before. Steam's store listing carries the exact item breakdown. For completionists and anyone who thinks Sengoku warfare should look like it costs something. If you play zoomed out at the strategic camera, skip it without a second thought.
