The mechanics are straightforward enough that you won't need a tutorial, and the presentation is clean without being fancy. Heavy Cavalry Studios clearly prioritized getting you into a match fast over building out layers of progression or meta-complexity. The catch: that simplicity comes at a cost. If you're hunting for emergent strategic depth or long-term progression hooks, you'll bounce off quickly. There's fun to be had if you match your expectations to what's on offer, but Total Rush knows its lane and stays in it. Worth a shot if casual strategy is your jam and you're not expecting the next great tactics title.
