The moment it clicked: I lost a lane on loop three, then spent loop four building around that failure instead of fixing it, letting my doomed past self tank a wave while a fresh copy of me flanked the spawn. That is the whole engine here. You get roughly ten loops per level, each one recording a ghost that replays your exact inputs, so every attempt is both a solution and a resource. Combine it with the spell system (freeze, lure, blast, and the combos that stack when two ghosts cast at once) and the puzzle turns into scheduling rather than shooting. What that means practically: this is a planning game wearing an action skin, and the difficulty is front-loaded on the design phase, not execution. The adjustable difficulty and generous checkpointing keep it fair for newcomers, and the online co-op is genuinely two brains solving one timetable. Where it drops off is presentation and story delivery, which are functional at best, and the leaderboard chase rewards optimization more than the campaign really supports. Small, sharp, and unlike anything else on PC.
