Instead, it's a modest ARPG with real-time combat and a Three Kingdoms historical wrapper. The core loop involves small-scale battles and unit positioning rather than grand strategic planning. For a 2020 indie release with minimal Steam traction and no critical reviews, that's actually a reasonable scope, but execution feels thin. AI doesn't make meaningful decisions, and the UI doesn't do much to guide newcomers through historical faction mechanics or upgrade paths. If you're chasing authentic Three Kingdoms period gameplay with depth, look elsewhere. If you want a low-commitment time-sink with historical flavor and don't mind rough edges, this might occupy an afternoon. The lack of Steam reviews or community engagement suggests the game didn't stick with players, which is telling.
